Printing Processes

All sorts of printmaking processes intrigue me and I employ a wide range of techniques for both my own work and client jobs. Most of the letterpress work I do is hand-set lead type for short text or titling.

 

I also collect vintage and antique printing presses and contraptions that employ all manner of printing methods, from mimeograph to hectograph to Multigraph printing (shown below).

 

 

Silk screen printing with the Print Gocco (left) is a favorite of mine and I have a special interest in creating hang-tags and backdrop cards for jewelry and other craft pieces. If you’ve got a short run job that needs a high impact look, send me an email and I’d be happy to discuss ideas with you.
